Somehow this installation in Canterbury intrigues me more than the ones in Cancun. In third grade I did a research project on coral and spent a long, long time looking at pictures of different repeated coral patterns, yellow on blue, pink on yellow, polyp after polyp. Perhaps it's because I've never seen a living reef that their beauty doesn't stand up beside temperate rivers. I can imagine a river.
