Despite my best efforts to rearrange the two, Body always seems to act as metaphor for Emotion. We have so few words for mental states and so many for physical, after all, even though the experience of physicality is, without exception, mental. Does a color reside in the object it cloaks or in the eye that perceives? Where is pain? Is neuroscience making these divisions easier by drawing everything into the physical realm or harder by blurring the lines?

I will keep asking the same questions, dammit, not because they're important but because I can't help it.
