I struggle every day with the rift between science and art.

Really I think they're two sides of the same coin that somewhere along the line were pitted against one another. And I don't mean humanist science v. hard science, I mean art as in creation versus science as in study. My favorite artists are those who feel the connections I feel to the world and to the traditions of their field and others.
